Anupam Datta is Co-Founder, President, and Chief Scientist of Truera. He is also Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and (by courtesy) Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. His research focuses on enabling real-world complex systems to be accountable for their behaviour, especially as they pertain to privacy, fairness, and security. His work has helped create foundations and
tools for accountable data-driven systems.
Datta has also made significant contributions to rigorously accounting for security of cryptographic protocols. Specifically, his work led to new principles for securely composing cryptographic protocols and their application to several protocol standards, most notably to the IEEE 802.11i standard for wireless authentication and to attestation protocols for trusted computing.
Annemieke De Groot
Annemieke's mission is to drive innovation within AXA, focusing on emerging tech & data. With experience in different industries and countries across Asia and Europe, Annamieke believes in empowering people through knowledge and skills. Tech itself does not drive transformation but the people who understand its capabilities do. In her current role as Business Partner for Asia, Annemieke works with the AXA entities across the region to improve customer service, claim handling, underwriting and other insurance processes through data analytics, machine learning, NLP, computer vision and other data-centric innovation.
Benjamin Lee is the Projects Manager at the Singapore centre of the Bank for International Settlements Innovation Hub (BISIH). The Innovation Hub aims to identify, and develop in-depth insights into, critical trends in technology affecting central banking; develop public goods in the technology space geared towards improving the functioning of the global financial system; and serve as a focal point for a network of central bank experts on innovation.
Prior to this appointment, Benjamin was with the Monetary Authority of Singapore’s International Finance Division and led the authority’s engagements and work with international and multilateral institutions. He also served as Singapore’s representative to the World Bank Group’s Executive Board and was based in Washington DC before that.

Dr. Han Yu is a Nanyang Assistant Professor (NAP) in the School of Computer Science and Engineering (SCSE), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. Between 2015 and 2018, he held the prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Post-Doctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) at the Joint NTU-UBC Research Centre of Excellence in Active Living for the Elderly (LILY). Before joining NTU, he worked as an Embedded Software Engineer at Hewlett-Packard (HP) Pte Ltd, Singapore. He obtained his PhD from the School of Computer Science and Engineering, NTU in 2014. His research focuses on online convex optimisation, ethical AI, federated machine learning and their applications in complex collaborative systems such as crowdsourcing. He has published over 150 research papers in book chapters, leading international conferences and journals, and received multiple research awards. He co-authored the book "Federated Learning" - the first monograph on the topic of federated learning.
Jason Tu is the Co-Founder and CEO of MioTech, an artificial intelligence platform that empowers Sustainability and Green Finance. Jason graduated from Stanford University and his career spans across finance industry as well as tech start-ups around the globe. He kicked off his career at Standard Chartered Bank in Hong Kong, from front to middle and back office. He has since then worked at a number of start-ups bringing world-class FinTech solutions to Asia, such as WeLab and Robinhood’s China expansion. His start-up, MioTech was founded in 2016 and has achieved great milestones with the backing of ZhenFund, leading VC in China, Horizons Ventures, the investment arm of Hong Kong tycoon Li Ka-Shing, and Moody’s.
John Hull is the Maple Financial Professor of Derivatives and Risk Management at the Joseph L. Rotman
School of Management, University of Toronto. He is an internationally recognised authority on derivatives and risk management and has many publications in this area. His areas of research have included the impact of stochastic volatility on the pricing and
hedging of options, the valuation of interest rate derivatives and credit derivatives, the calculation of
value at risk, the evaluation of model risk, the regulation of financial institutions, and (recently) machine
learning. He was, with Alan White, one of the winners of the Nikko-LOR research competition for his
work on the Hull-White interest rate model, which is widely used by practitioners.

Vivek Pathak is IFC’s Regional Director for East Asia and the Pacific, leading advisory and investment operations across 18 countries, which in fiscal year 2020 reached US$4.2 billion in long-term investments, including funds mobilized from other investors. He has extensive emerging markets experience in principal investments, restructuring and risk management.
Mr. Pathak was Director for Investment and Credit Risk, responsible for global coverage of credit risk, investment risk, integrity risk, pricing and credit/equity training. Prior to that he oversaw IFC’s portfolio in the Middle East and North Africa and led business development in frontier markets like Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran.
